Cookie Policy
BluOr Bank AS (hereinafter, the “Bank”) uses cookies on its website www.bluorbank.lv A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you access the site. Cookies are stored in the file directory of the internet browser (for example, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Opera) on the hard drive of the website visitor’s terminal device. The next time the website visitor returns to the same website, the internet browser reads the cookie and sends the information back to the website that originally set the cookie. Cookies do not in any way pose a threat to the website visitor’s computer. When visiting www.bluorbank.lv for the first time, the user is invited to choose which cookies they consent to. By selecting and confirming cookies, the user agrees to their storage on their device and to their use in accordance with this Cookie Policy. At any time, the user has the right to withdraw or change their choice by visiting this page and updating the cookie settings.
How do we use cookies?
Our website uses cookies to facilitate user actions. The information obtained through cookies usually does not identify you as a specific individual and enables us to provide a personalised experience when you interact with the website — for example, by saving your language preference so that you do not need to select it again the next time. Cookies allow our website servers to recognise you when you access the site and to automatically adapt content to your needs. The use of cookies also helps us understand the needs of our users. In addition, cookies provide us with website usage statistics, which we use to assess the performance of the website and improve it.
To improve the functionality of the website www.bluorbank.lv and make it easier to use, the Bank uses the following types of cookies:
• Session cookies — these are temporary cookies that are deleted when the web browser is closed. Session cookies help the website remember what the visitor selected on the previous page so that the same information does not need to be entered again;
• Persistent cookies — after a visit to the Bank’s website, these cookies are stored on the website visitor’s terminal device in the form of a randomly generated number until they are deliberately deleted or until they expire (depending on the retention period programmed for the specific cookie). They are used, for example, to recognise that you are a regular visitor to the site, to tailor website content to your needs, or to collect statistical data;
• First-party cookies (tracking cookies) — cookies placed by the website that the user visits directly. These cookies allow the user to be assigned a unique identifier by storing the cookie either in the user’s web browser or on the hard drive for the purpose of tracking the user’s journey through the site;
• Third-party cookies — the Bank uses third-party cookies, for example, cookies of Meta (formerly Facebook), to deliver advertisements and optimise marketing communications. Third-party advertisers use cookies stored on the terminal device to assess the effectiveness of advertising and to personalise the advertising content displayed to website visitors. Information collected by third-party advertisers may include data such as geographical location data (derived from the IP address). The Bank also uses cookies of Google to obtain anonymous information about the visitor’s activities on the website (for example, the page visited, date and time of the visit, etc.), which is used for statistics and analytics in accordance with the stated purposes. By consenting to these cookies, you agree that information may be transferred to third countries where an adequate level of personal data protection may not be ensured (i.e. to a country that is not a party to the EEA Agreement and that has not been included by the European Commission in the list of countries ensuring an adequate level of personal data protection).
Below are all cookie groups used on the Bank’s website. When you start using the Bank’s website, you may choose which cookie groups you allow to be used. Changes may also be made during your use of the website, and you may change your previous choice at any time. To do so, click the “Change cookie settings” button and enable or disable the relevant cookie groups. Please note that it is not possible to opt out of the use of strictly necessary cookies, as without them full use of the website is not possible.
Cookies used on the Bank’s website
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They remember your choice regarding the website language and also ensure that cookies you have not consented to are not installed.
Statistical cookies
These cookies allow us to collect statistics about website visits and their sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of our website. All information collected by these cookies is anonymous and does not include personally identifiable information.
Google Signals
The Bank uses the Google Signals feature of Google Analytics 4. If you are signed in to your Google account and have consented to ad personalisation in your Google account settings, Google Analytics may associate your visit data with your Google account information. This allows the Bank to:
• Measure user behaviour across different devices (cross-device measurement) — for example, if you visited the website on a mobile phone but submitted an application on a computer;
• Build remarketing audiences based on visit data;
• Receive aggregated demographic and interest data (gender, age group, interests).
Google processes this data in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can manage or opt out of this data processing within Google Signals in your Google account settings (myaccount.google.com) or on Google My Activity (myactivity.google.com). Please note that Google Signals works only if the Google account user has consented to ad personalisation. The Bank does not receive individualised personal data, only aggregated and anonymised statistical data.

Advertising cookies
These cookies are placed by our advertising partners. They may use them to assess your interests and user profile and to display relevant advertisements on other websites. These cookies work on the basis of information about your browser and device rather than your private data. The Bank also uses Google LLC cookies for remarketing purposes — to display targeted advertisements in Google Search and on partner websites to persons who have previously visited www.bluorbank.lv. These cookies work on the basis of information about your browser and device. Google advertising cookies can be managed in Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).

These cookies are used to determine the number of referrals from the websites of our cooperation partners. This information is necessary for the Bank to fulfil payment obligations set out in cooperation agreements for services received.
Cookie control and deletion options
In addition to the cookies used on the Bank’s website, some cookies may be placed on the user’s device by a third party not related to the Bank, and such cookies are referred to as “third-party cookies”. Third-party cookies are outside the Bank’s control, and more information about these cookies can be obtained by visiting the relevant third party’s website. If you wish, you may control and delete such cookies. You can delete all cookies already stored on your computer, and most browsers can be configured to block the placement of cookies on your computer.
Changes to the information
In the event of any changes (for example, if new cookies begin to be used), the website visitor will be invited to review the information about the cookies used once again and to make a new choice regarding which cookies they agree or do not agree to use.
