BlueOrange Special Award presented at the Grand Music Award ceremony

On 25 February 2020, a ceremony for the Grand Music Award 2019 was held at the Latvian National Opera, with winners announced in eight categories.

In order to promote the growth of talented and focused young people, who carry the name of Latvia in the world with their passion, BlueOrange awarded a special prize of EUR 1000 to Aigars Raumanis, winner of the “Young Artist of the Year” category, for further vocational training.

The Grand Music Award is the highest prize in music of the State of Latvia, and the award was established in 1993 at the initiative of the -then Minister of Culture Raimonds Pauls. The winners of the award are selected by a jury, which follows the musical events throughout the year in concert halls and musical theatres of Latvia. The winners receive a silver statuette designed by Armands Jekabsons, and a cash bonus. The Grand Music Award ceremony with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia is organised by VSIA “Latvijas Koncerti”.
