BlueOrange provides online merchants with yet more convenient and secure e-payments

BlueOrange continues to develop e-commerce services and provides a secure, fast and convenient BankPay solution for online payments, which has been available to merchants since the end of July. This means that any e-merchant can receive payments directly from Swedbank, SEB, Citadele, Luminor accounts, as well as Revolut will join the list in the near future.

“Customers of an e-merchant (buyers) can now use their current account with any of the specified banks to pay for the purchase. By signing a contract with BlueOrange, e-merchants can easily combine all payment methods in one solution, while buyers choose their preferred option to pay for the purchase. Following authorization in the selected online bank, buyers only need to confirm an already completed payment order, and the money will be credited to the e-merchant’s account immediately or the next day,” says Einārs Stavro, Head of BlueOrange E-Commerce Sales. “Today, about 70% of buyers in Latvia choose online banking to pay for their purchases, pushing card payments to the second place,” notes Stavro.

BankPay payments are much more convenient for both parties: e-merchants do not need to enter into contracts with several banks, while single integration provides buyers with a wide choice of payment options.
